Der Akkordeon-Solist Valentin Butt erhielt zum 43. Internationalen Akkordeonwettbewerb in Klingenthal eine Einladung in das italienische Castelfidardo. Im Rahmenprogramm des "Citta di Castelfidardo" gab er gemeinsam mit Elena Lutz am 14. Oktober 2006 ein Konzert.

 

Maria Vlassowa (Russland) ist die Preisträgerin der Kategorie 4 des 43. Internationalen Akkordeonwettbewerbes in Klingenthal

 

 

During the 43. International Accordion Competition the elite of accordion music was met in Klingenthal. 114 participants from 21 nations competed for prices of the competition, which is maybe the best and most demanding of the world. Apart of traditional categories of accordion also bandoneon was became a part of the competition.

 

 

 

The opening Concert in Bad Elster was the homage to Reinhold Moritzewitsch Glier. The family of the Russian composer came from Klingenthal and was immigrated to Russia. Gliers belonged to the circle of Rimski Korsakow. On the occasion of his 50th day of death the orchestra Vogtland Philharmonie Greiz Reichenbach, conducted by music director Stefan Fraas was playing the Concert for Soprano and Orchestra.

The main part of the concert was music of accordion and bandonion: The winner of 2005, Niko Kumpuvaara and the Norwegian soloist Per Arne Glorvigen were playing.

 

 

The prices of 2006 were given to all over the world: The winner of category IV is Maria Vlassova from Russia. Second prize was given to Petra Pakarinen from Finland. Third place won Sergej Kotkov from Russia. The Final Concert was Kurt Schwaen: Concert for Accordion and Orchestra”.

 

 

 

Quality instead Quantity

… This was the result of the new bandonion category. Four participants, two from Norway, one from France and one from Argentina took part. The winner is William Sabatiers from France.

 

 

Per Arne Glorvigen, bandonion soloist and member of the jury was satisfied: “The number of participants will became more in future, because 2007 the bandonion is also a part of the category V (groups with other instruments).” The typical sound of bandonion will stay also in future, because in conditions of participation is ask for pieces from Astor Piazolla and Massimo Mori.

 

From the origin land of Tango - Argentina- come Marisa Laura Mercade. The 27 years old woman began playing bandonion when she was 19 years old. She is living in Paris in tradition of many other immigrants of Argentina in France.

 

Per Arne Glorvigen is glad about renaissance of manufacturing bandonions in Klingenthal. The reputation of instruments from this town and from Carlsfeld is very good until today. Also old bandonions of “AA” (Alfred Arnold Carlsfeld) are treating for thousands of Dollars in Argentina and many of famous soloists playing these instruments also in present time.

 

Target of the organizers is, to make the competition to a performer place for the companies of Klingenthal. The leading of organizers is part of the town administration - a sign for the fact, how important the competition is.

The Romance with devil

 

 

 

Since Per Arne Glorvigen was playing the “Romance with the devil” everybody knows: The bandonion and the Tango is a couple of passion!

 

The Norwegian soloist was given a concert with Sveinung Lillebjerka, Arnulf Ballhorn and the Ensemble amarcord - it was a great musician experience.
